Balochistan, Pakistan — February 6 (ANI): Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch has invited members of the United Nations Security Council, Members of the European Parliament, human rights organisations, OIC member states, international media, and other global observers to visit Balochistan to see, he says, realities that Pakistan and its military are concealing.
In a post on X, Mir Yar Baloch said the self-declared “Republic of Balochistan” would assume responsibility for the safety and security of international guests and dignitaries. He said Baloch representatives, local authorities and communities would cooperate to enable visiting delegations to travel across the region.
Mir Yar Baloch offered to take delegations to sites he described as mass graves, where he said DNA samples could be collected and compared with families of people reported missing for decades and allegedly detained by the Pakistani military over an extended period. He said such steps could help deliver justice to affected families.
He also proposed guided visits to resource sites, including gas fields in Dera Bugti and Sui, gold mines at Saindak and Reko Diq, and coal mines in Mach, Harnai and Chamaling, to demonstrate what he characterised as exploitation of the local Baloch population. He said the visits would allow the international community to document what he described as the occupation of Balochistan and to record expressions of support for Baloch independence.
Mir Yar Baloch urged the international community to accept the invitation as a way to counter what he called Pakistan’s diplomatic narrative, and he called for Baloch representatives to be allowed to address the UN Security Council so the situation in Balochistan, including alleged oppression by the Pakistani military, can be heard directly from them.
He criticised Pakistan for labelling Balochistan as linked to “terrorism” before the international community, arguing that Balochistan is a victim of state and military terrorism rather than a terrorist entity. He appealed to the UN Security Council and other international bodies to listen to Baloch voices through their own representatives rather than relying solely on Pakistan’s account. (ANI)
