Srinagar, Feb 6, 2026 (ANI) — Kashmiri activist Javed Beigh has dismissed Pakistan’s annual February 5 observance of “Kashmir Solidarity Day” as state-sponsored propaganda, and said India’s recent anti-militancy action was a direct response. In a post on X, Beigh called the observance a “fake drama” intended to divert attention from Pakistan’s own human rights record.
Beigh said the Indian action, a joint operation called “Trashi-I,” resulted in the neutralisation of a Pakistani national identified as Adil, whom he alleged was linked to Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), headquartered in Bahawalpur, Punjab. According to Beigh, Trashi-I was conducted by the Indian Army’s CIF Delta in coordination with Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the Dichhar area of Kishtwar district.
He reiterated past allegations against JeM — founded by Maulana Masood Azhar — noting the group’s alleged responsibility for major attacks, including the 2019 Pulwama strike and a recent incident near the Red Fort area. Beigh also referenced what he called “Operation Sindoor,” asserting that India had struck and destroyed JeM’s Bahawalpur headquarters and that several relatives of Masood Azhar were killed in that action.
Beigh concluded that Pakistan’s public show of solidarity masks the realities on the ground, arguing that concrete operations, not symbolic observances, reveal the true dynamics of the Kashmir issue.
