Niti Aayog vice-chairman, Ashok Lahiri, recently emphasized the urgency of economic reforms and structural changes to propel India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. He highlighted the necessity for India to evolve from a user to a creator of technology to remain competitive in the global market.

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) announced that it is launching new surveys, including an examination of cooperatives, to enhance the accuracy of India’s economic data, as stated by Secretary Saurabh Garg. He expressed confidence in India's future growth trajectory, particularly in light of the recent GDP increase, while also acknowledging the need to address inflation and improve methodologies in data collection.
