Abu Dhabi, UAE — The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed that five Indian nationals sustained injuries, ranging from minor to moderate, after debris fell near the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD). The debris resulted from the interception of a ballistic missile by UAE air defences.
In a post on X, the Media Office urged the public to rely only on official sources and to avoid spreading unverified information. It said relevant authorities, during their ongoing follow-up to the incident, confirmed the five injuries and reiterated a warning against circulating rumours.
Earlier statements from the office said responders were addressing two small fires in the KEZAD area caused by falling debris after the missile interception. The Media Office said further updates would be issued in due course and again advised obtaining information solely from official channels.
Separately, Oman’s state news agency ONA cited a security source saying two drones targeted Salalah port in Dhofar province. Al Jazeera reported the incident caused moderate injuries to a foreign worker and minor damage to a port crane.
Also, the Iraqi pro‑militia outlet Sabereen claimed the Islamic Resistance in Iraq — a coalition of Iran‑backed groups — carried out attacks on several Jordanian military and aviation sites. Sabereen listed King Faisal Air Base, King Abdullah Air Base, Queen Alia Airport, Prince Hassan Air Base and Muwaffaq Salti Air Base as reported targets; the outlet did not provide details on results, according to Al Jazeera.
