Abu Dhabi [UAE], March 28 (ANI): The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed on Saturday that five Indian nationals sustained injuries, ranging from minor to moderate, after debris fell near the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) following the interception of a ballistic missile by air defences.
The Media Office urged the public to rely only on official sources and to refrain from spreading rumours. In a post on X, it said the competent authorities, in their ongoing follow-up to the incident, confirmed the five injuries and warned against circulating unverified information.
Earlier, the office reported that relevant authorities were responding to two fire incidents in the vicinity of KEZAD caused by falling debris after the missile interception. It said further updates would be provided in due course and again advised obtaining information solely from official channels.
Citing a security source, Oman’s state news agency ONA reported that two drones targeted Salalah port in Dhofar province. Al Jazeera said the attack caused moderate injuries to a foreign worker and minor damage to a port crane.
Separately, the Iraqi pro-militia outlet Sabereen reported that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of Iran-backed groups, carried out attacks on several Jordanian military and aviation sites. Reported targets included King Faisal Air Base, King Abdullah Air Base, Queen Alia Airport, Prince Hassan Air Base and Muwaffaq Salti Air Base; Sabereen did not provide details on the outcomes, according to Al Jazeera.
