Abu Dhabi authorities say an Indian national sustained minor injuries from falling debris after the UAE’s air defences intercepted a ballistic missile targeting the capital. The incident took place in the Al Shawamekh area, where relevant teams responded to debris on the ground.
In a post on X, the Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed the successful interception and the resulting minor injury, and urged the public to rely on official sources and avoid spreading rumours or unverified information.
The UAE reported that its air defences engaged multiple Iranian aerial threats during the latest wave of attacks, intercepting 25 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and four ballistic missiles on Sunday. The Ministry of Defence also published cumulative figures since the escalation began: 1,773 UAVs, 15 cruise missiles and 345 ballistic missiles intercepted.
