Karimnagar (Telangana): A man from Telangana sustained minor injuries in an attack near Abu Dhabi airport, his parents said on Wednesday.
N Rajeswara Rao, a resident of Pothireddypalle village in Rajanna Sircilla district, was hurt in the incident, his father Prabhakar Rao told PTI Videos. Rao, who has been working in the housekeeping section at the airport for about a year, informed his family by video call that he and several colleagues escaped with only minor injuries. He did not show the wounds to his parents during the call.
“I want my son to come home soon,” Prabhakar Rao said, appealing to the Indian government to help ensure his safe return.
Meanwhile, a group of passengers who arrived at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from Jeddah said they did not encounter problems related to the unrest in the Gulf. Pilgrims returning from Madina reported they were satisfied with the facilities and arrangements. Passenger Mohd Abdul Razak said his trip home was delayed by flight cancellations, but the travel agency provided accommodation and other support during the disruption.
