Tehran, March 27 — The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of the 83rd wave of Operation True Promise 4 in the early hours of Friday, saying it struck multiple U.S. and Israeli military targets across the region using missiles and drones, Press TV reported.
According to the IRGC statement cited by Press TV, reported targets included fuel storage tanks and an oil depot in Ashdod, a military personnel site in the Modi’in area, and a U.S. military information exchange center in the region. The IRGC also reported strikes against U.S. bases at Al-Dhafra and Al-Udeid, plus maintenance and storage hangars for transport aircraft and drones at Ali Al-Salem Air Base.
Other assets the statement said were hit included jet fuel tanks used by U.S. aircraft and a maintenance and repair hangar for a Patriot missile system at Sheikh Isa Base. The IRGC said the operation employed a mixture of long‑range and medium‑range systems, solid‑ and liquid‑fuel missiles, precision and multi‑warhead munitions, as well as suicide and loitering drones.
The announcement comes amid a temporary de‑escalation window U.S. President Trump said he had extended after Tehran reportedly requested a seven‑day pause on strikes targeting its energy infrastructure; Trump said he extended that pause to 10 days, through April 6. Despite the pause, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has said combined U.S.-Israeli strikes have continued, targeting Iranian missile forces, launchers, missile storage and production sites, and intensifying attacks on Iran’s defense industrial base — likely including the 7th Artesh Air Force Tactical Airbase in Shiraz, Fars Province.
International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi expressed deep concern about recent military activity reportedly occurring near Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, most recently on Tuesday evening.
