New Delhi, April 4 (ANI) — Iran’s ambassador to India, Mohammad Fathali, said analyses from unnamed think tanks across the US, Europe and Asia indicate the current US-Israel campaign against Iran amounts to a ‘strategic failure’ for both states. In a post on X, Fathali lauded what he called an ‘Iranian-Islamic civilizational resilience’ that, he said, converts external pressure into endurance and endurance into sustained strategic leverage.
Separately, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a stern warning to Washington and its regional partners after recent threats by US President Donald Trump, state broadcaster Press TV reported. Ebrahim Zolfaghari, a spokesperson for the headquarters, said Iran could carry out devastating strikes on American and Israeli assets and on infrastructure in countries that host US military bases.
The statement was framed as a direct response to Trump’s comments that the US might target Iranian civilian infrastructure, including bridges, power plants and energy facilities. Iran’s military warned that any such strikes would be met with overwhelming force and signaled that retaliatory operations could extend beyond purely military targets to ‘more important and extensive sectors’ in capitals and allied countries hosting US forces.
On Thursday, Trump posted on Truth Social that the US military ‘hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran,’ an escalation linked to Operation Epic Fury, which began on February 28. He specifically named bridges and electric power plants as potential targets and has previously warned he would strike Iran ‘back to the Stone Ages’ if necessary. (ANI; Press TV)
