The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said it carried out 11 operations across Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan between April 25 and May 3, claiming multiple casualties among what it described as “occupying forces” and the capture of three Military Intelligence (MI) personnel, local reports said.
In a statement attributed to BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch and cited by The Balochistan Post, the group said its actions targeted army personnel, vehicles transporting minerals, and individuals it labeled as collaborators. The statement said four of the reported operations involved remotely detonated improvised explosive devices and that the group suffered the loss of three fighters during clashes in Taarez, Nushki, on April 24.
According to the BLA account, on April 25 fighters detained three MI personnel in Dasht, Mastung, who were allegedly in disguise; the group said tracking devices were recovered from those detained and that further investigations were under way. On April 26 and April 27 the BLA said it blocked the Panjgur-Chedgi main road, puncturing tyres on a total of 23 trailers and releasing the drivers after issuing warnings.
The group claimed responsibility for a hand-grenade attack on company accommodation in Dalbandin on April 28 that it said injured five people. It also said its fighters engaged army personnel in Parom, Panjgur, at a location identified as Gomaazi, alleging two soldiers were killed.
On April 29 the BLA said it fired grenade rounds at what it described as a central army camp in Kalat city. On May 1 the group reported seizing weapons and a motorcycle after taking control of a leased site in Chalgazi, Dalbandin.
The BLA further claimed that on May 2 it struck an army vehicle with a remote-controlled explosive in Chedgi, Panjgur, killing five and seriously wounding two, and carried out another IED attack in Shadi Kaur, Pasni, that it said killed four and injured four. It also alleged an IED injured two members of an armed militia guarding mineral transports in Loni, Dukki. On May 3 the group said an IED hit an army bomb disposal unit conducting clearance operations in Al-Mark, Kharan, injuring three.
The statement concluded with the BLA saying it “accepts responsibility for all these operations” and pledged to continue attacks “with the same intensity” until the “liberation of the motherland,” the report added.
