New Delhi, April 2, 2026 — Air India Group and IndiGo are operating a combined 64 flights to and from West Asia on Thursday as carriers adjust services amid changing airspace conditions. The Air India Group — comprising Air India and Air India Express — plans 34 flights, while IndiGo has scheduled 30 services across its Middle East network.
Of the Air India Group’s 34 flights, 18 are non-scheduled services to and from the United Arab Emirates, operating subject to slot availability and approvals from Indian and UAE regulators. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will largely depend on ad-hoc operations.
Route breakdown for Air India and Air India Express:
– Delhi–Dubai: services operated by both Air India and Air India Express.
– Abu Dhabi: served by Air India Express from Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangalore and Mumbai.
– Sharjah: flights from Amritsar and Kannur. Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain will have no operations.
Oman: Muscat remains on schedule with Air India Express operating from Delhi and Mumbai; Salalah stays suspended.
Saudi Arabia: connectivity is partial. Jeddah will be served by Air India from Mumbai and by Air India Express from Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kozhikode. Riyadh will have scheduled services by Air India from Delhi and by Air India Express from Kozhikode. Dammam will not have operations.
Flights to Bahrain, Doha, Kuwait and Tel Aviv remain suspended.
IndiGo’s 30 scheduled flights link Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kochi with Gulf and Middle Eastern destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Muscat and Sharjah. The airline advised passengers to check flight status regularly, warning that schedules could change.
The Air India Group said its long-haul services to North America, Europe and Australia are operating normally and are not affected by the West Asia disruptions. Passengers affected by cancellations have been offered free rebooking or full refunds. Air India Express is also allowing UAE-bound travelers to move to alternate flights within its network without additional charges.
