Dubai (UAE), March 8 — The Dubai Media Office said debris from an aerial interception fell onto a vehicle in the Al Barsha area, killing a Pakistani driver. The office also reported that debris caused minor damage to the façade of a tower in Dubai Marina; that incident was contained and no injuries were reported, according to posts on X by the office.
As the wider West Asia conflict intensifies, state and regional media have reported additional strikes and counterstrikes. Iran’s IRNA, citing the IRGC, said Kheibarshekan missiles struck the Haifa refinery. Al Jazeera Breaking reported air strikes on an oil storage facility in Tehran and said Hezbollah claimed to have launched missiles at the Haifa naval base and rockets at Kiryat Shmona. The Jerusalem Post, citing Israeli Defence Forces sources, said the Israeli Air Force struck significant oil resources in the Tehran region linked to Iran’s military-industrial complex.
IRNA also quoted judiciary chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei as saying intelligence indicates some regional territories are being used, overtly and covertly, by adversaries to launch aggression against Iran. He said retaliatory strikes against such positions will continue and that the policy has governmentwide support, according to IRNA.
Analysts say the confrontation has broadened to involve several Gulf states. The latest escalations follow a joint US-Israel strike on February 28; some outlets have circulated unverified reports about the strike’s consequences, which remain unconfirmed. Iran has since launched ballistic missiles and drones at US assets and regional partners, and strikes have been reported or claimed against Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan — developments that increase risks for civilians and expatriates across the region.
