Tehran, March 21 (ANI): Iran’s highest operational command, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, has warned the United Arab Emirates against permitting its territory to be used as a launchpad for aggression targeting the Iranian islands of Abu Musa and Greater Tunb in the Persian Gulf.
Spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaqari said the command, which coordinates operations between the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), will “strike the origin of any aggression against our territory and national sovereignty.” He added, “We warn the United Arab Emirates that if any further aggression originates from its territory against the Iranian islands of Abu Musa and Greater Tunb in the Persian Gulf, Iran’s powerful Armed Forces will subject Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE to heavy and crushing strikes.”
The warning comes amid Iran’s ongoing Operation True Promise 4 in response to recent US-Israeli actions. Iran claims it has struck key American military facilities across the region, including sites in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Jordan.
Iranian Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araghchi also warned of a harsh response to any attacks on Iranian infrastructure, writing on X: “We have intelligence on Israeli plans to strike infrastructure. Once again: Zero restraint if our infrastructure is attacked.” He added that Iranians “do not sneak attack adversaries while engaged in dialogue. Only when attacked do we powerfully respond.”
The UAE Ministry of Defence said its air defences engaged four ballistic missiles and 26 UAVs launched from Iran on Friday. The ministry stated that, “Since the onset of the blatant Iranian aggression, UAE air defences have engaged 338 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,740 UAVs.” The ministry reported casualties including the martyrdom of two armed forces members and six fatalities among Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi and Palestinian nationals, with a total of 158 people injured, ranging from minor to severe wounds. It affirmed readiness to confront threats and protect the country’s sovereignty, security and stability.
Meanwhile, the IRGC announced the execution of the 70th wave of Operation True Promise 4, saying the latest phase targeted more than 55 locations occupied by US and Israeli forces across the region. The IRGC described the opening moments of the phase as marked by “loud explosions, bursts of fire, and columns of smoke” in the targeted areas.
