Abu Dhabi — UAE relief teams have concluded their emergency humanitarian mission in Sri Lanka, deployed after President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordered assistance following Cyclone Ditwah and subsequent landslides. The operation delivered 116 tonnes of critical aid, including food, tents, shelter materials and relief kits to families affected by the disaster.
The UAE Search and Rescue team conducted specialised field operations in coordination with local authorities. Teams recovered 20 bodies of missing persons and provided first aid to eight people with minor injuries.
