Abu Dhabi, December 14 (ANI/WAM): Dr Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, the UAE Attorney General, received a Russian delegation charged with activating the protocol annexed to the Memorandum of Understanding between the UAE Federal Public Prosecution and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
During the visit in Abu Dhabi, the UAE Federal Public Prosecution presented its use of modern technologies and the role of artificial intelligence in prosecutorial work. The Russian delegation outlined its own experience with technology and AI applications inside the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office. Both sides discussed emerging crime trends, protection of individual rights, practical steps to implement the protocol’s provisions, and future plans to deepen bilateral cooperation.
On the second day, the two delegations held a joint meeting focused on strengthening international judicial cooperation, exchanging expertise, and aligning mutual priorities related to public prosecution. The Russian team also met with the UAE Accountability Authority to discuss institutional integration and mechanisms to support national efforts in investigations and financial follow-up.
The discussions aim to bolster UAE–Russia cooperation in combating crime, safeguarding rights, and developing practical tools for cross-border judicial and investigative collaboration. (ANI/WAM)
