London, April 22 (ANI) — Marking the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, Hidayat Bhutto, UK and Europe organiser of the World Sindhi Congress, condemned the violence and called for accountability. Bhutto expressed deep sorrow for the victims and their families, describing the attack as a stark reminder of the persistent threat posed by militant networks across South Asia.
Bhutto accused Pakistan of fostering cross-border terrorism through long-standing support for non-state actors, alleging involvement in training, funding and providing logistics that, he said, have destabilised the region and facilitated strikes in India and Afghanistan. He pointed to international assessments, including Pakistan’s place on the Global Terrorism Index, as indicative of systemic problems, and referenced public remarks by senior Pakistani figures — including Defence Minister Khawaja Asif — that acknowledge past ties with militant groups.
Warning that tolerance and patronage of such organisations only perpetuate cycles of violence and undermine global counter-terrorism efforts, Bhutto urged the international community to mount a coordinated, accountable response. He called for measures rooted in international law to dismantle these networks and prevent future attacks.
