New Delhi, Mar 3, 2026 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi held separate telephone calls on Tuesday with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman and Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, officials said, expressing concern about recent attacks affecting their countries.
In both conversations, Modi raised the welfare and security of the Indian community in Oman and Kuwait and conveyed India’s deep concern over incidents impacting those territories and their citizens, an official statement said.
The calls came after a coordinated offensive by the United States and Israel that targeted Iran’s leadership. Iran, in turn, launched drones and missiles at Israel, U.S. military facilities in the Gulf, and at major international business and aviation hubs, including Dubai and Doha.
Over the past 48 hours Modi also spoke with the King of Bahrain and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, condemning the attacks as violations of sovereignty and territorial integrity and affirming India’s solidarity with the affected peoples. He has held additional discussions with King Abdullah II of Jordan, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the situation in the region continues to evolve.
