The Israeli Air Force said it carried out strikes Saturday against militants who were operating from the area in southern Lebanon from which rockets were fired toward Israeli forces.
According to an IAF post on X, forces of the 91st Division tracked the launch area and the Air Force identified and struck two militants who were inside a structure used to fire the rockets. Secondary explosions were observed after the strike, which the IAF said indicated the presence of weapons in the building. The rockets fired at IDF units fell in open areas and there were no injuries to Israeli forces.
Earlier the same day, the IAF reported intercepting a suspicious aerial object that crossed into Israeli airspace from Lebanon over the Metula area. The military described the incursion as another violation of the ceasefire understandings by the Hezbollah organization.
The IAF said it will continue to act against threats to Israeli citizens and military personnel. This account is based on official IAF posts and a syndicated news feed; the original publisher is the Tribune.
