New Delhi — Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal attended the 54th UAE National Day celebrations in Delhi and underscored growing India–UAE collaboration aimed at shared prosperity for both nations. He said India’s Vikasit Bharat 2047 vision aligns closely with the UAE’s We the UAE 2031 agenda, highlighting a common forward-looking outlook.
Goyal pointed to expanding ties in education, noting the launch of Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Management and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade campuses in Dubai, and suggested the partnership could serve as a model for others. In a post on X, he thanked H.E. Dr. Abdulnasser Jamal Alshaali, UAE Ambassador to India, for his warmth and hospitality and expressed pride in a relationship driven by trust, innovation and a shared vision for the future.
December 2 marks the UAE’s 54th anniversary since the federation’s founding in 1971, when six emirates—Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah—formed the union; Ras al Khaimah joined early the following year.
