Balochistan, Pakistan, February 6 (ANI) — The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said on February 5 that its Operation “Herof II” has continued into a sixth day, rejecting statements from Pakistan’s military media as propaganda. The claim was made in a statement by Jeeyand Baloch, the BLA spokesperson, who said the campaign is proceeding with determination, consistency and military success.
The group dismissed public comments from the Inter‑Services Public Relations (ISPR) and other state outlets that the operation had ended, saying such announcements are false until the BLA itself declares an end. The statement alleged those official releases do not reflect conditions on the ground and have little credibility among the Baloch population.
The BLA accused the ISPR of issuing contradictory and misleading daily press releases that repeatedly declared the operation over and claimed the elimination of all attackers from the first day onward. The group said those repeated assertions are intended to conceal battlefield setbacks and failures in the narrative domain.
Addressing casualties, the statement said BLA fighters — referred to by the organisation as Sarmachars and Fidaeens — regard martyrdom as an honourable outcome and that the BLA publicly acknowledges its dead by releasing names, photographs and accounts of how they fell. The group further alleged that Pakistan’s military conceals its own casualties by withholding identities and conducting undocumented burials.
The BLA also claimed the ISPR’s frequent assertions that large numbers of BLA fighters have been killed are used to mask military reverses and institutional corruption. The statement alleged that some forcibly disappeared persons have been killed and later represented as combatants to deflect accusations of enforced disappearance and torture; this allegation was made without independent verification in the BLA release.
According to the BLA, the operation has secured widespread support, intelligence cooperation and moral backing from elements of the Baloch population. The statement contrasted what it described as Pakistani institutions’ reliance on force and media messaging with the BLA’s view that sustained resistance and sacrifice have strengthened its liberation movement.
The group reiterated that only the BLA will declare the conclusion and outcomes of Operation Herof II, and that such an announcement would be accompanied by evidence of territorial control, intelligence gains and Pakistani withdrawals. It said that over six days it has distributed images and videos via official channels purporting to show captured areas, destroyed military posts and seized assets.
