Manama, March 29, 2026 — Air raid sirens were activated across parts of the Gulf and Israel early Sunday after reports of incoming missile and drone threats prompted emergency alerts in Kuwait, Bahrain and Israel, media outlets reported.

In Israel, the Israel Defence Forces said it was working to intercept missiles launched from Iran. The Israel Home Front Command issued emergency alerts directing residents in impacted regions to move to protected spaces; officials later indicated that people were permitted to leave shelters after the immediate threat eased.

The company said two employees sustained minor injuries and that the safety and security of its workforce remain its top priority. Alba added it was assessing damage to its installations while working to sustain operations and would provide further updates as more information becomes available.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for targeting key industrial sites in the region, including aluminium plants in the UAE and Bahrain, according to Iranian state media. Regional and international outlets covering the events cited official statements and state news agencies.
Reporting agencies cited include CNN, Bahrain News Agency, Kuwait News Agency and Iranian state broadcaster reports. Authorities in the affected countries continued to monitor developments and coordinate responses as details and damage assessments emerged.
