Tunis [Tunisia], March 28 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs Secretary (South) Dr. Neena Malhotra met Tunisia’s Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti during her visit for the 6th India–Tunisia Foreign Office Consultations.
Nafti urged expanded academic partnerships, cooperation in science and technology, and collaboration on new and renewable energy, the MEA’s official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a post on X. Jaiswal noted that Secretary Malhotra co-chaired the consultations with Secretary of State Mohamed Ben Ayed and that both sides reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral ties, including political engagement, high-level visits, trade and economic cooperation, capacity building, cultural exchanges and people-to-people links.
The consultations, held in Tunis on March 27, 2026, took place in a warm and constructive atmosphere and reaffirmed the strong historic relationship between India and Tunisia, rooted in shared democratic values, mutual respect and longstanding friendship. Secretary Malhotra also paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti. (ANI)
