Abu Dhabi [UAE], December 14 (ANI/WAM): Dr Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, UAE Attorney General, received a visiting Russian team tasked with activating the protocol annexed to the Memorandum of Understanding between the UAE Federal Public Prosecution and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
In Abu Dhabi, the UAE Federal Public Prosecution presented on modern technologies and the role of artificial intelligence in prosecution work, while the Russian delegation outlined its experience with technologies and AI applications within the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office. The sides discussed crime trends, protection of individual rights, mechanisms to activate the protocol’s provisions, and future plans to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
On the second day, both delegations held a joint meeting to enhance international judicial cooperation, covering mutual interests and exchanging expertise related to public prosecution. The Russian delegation also met with the UAE Accountability Authority to discuss institutional integration, and mechanisms to support national efforts in investigation and financial follow-up.
The cooperation aims to bolster UAE–Russia relations in combating crime, protecting rights, and developing tools for international cooperation. (ANI/WAM)
