Moscow, April 27 (ANI) — In May 2026, TV BRICS will convene the first-ever “Global Media Briefing,” bringing together senior editors and media leaders from three continents to mark the 20th anniversary of the BRICS grouping.
The initiative will gather media executives to discuss creating a multipolar global communications environment, coordinating an international agenda, and anticipating trends in the media landscape. TV BRICS says the briefing’s expert contributions will be widely available via its portal and television channels.
Participants already confirmed include outlets from Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Zimbabwe, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, China, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Chile, Ethiopia, and South Africa. Early releases on TV BRICS will feature interviews with Ali Muhammad Ali, CEO of the News Agency of Nigeria; Leonardo Sobreira, Executive Editor of Brasil 247; Maria Vlasova, Editor-in-Chief of financial portal Akchabar; and Huang Yichang, Editor-in-Chief of the Russian Service at CGTN under China Media Group.
Content from the Global Media Briefing will be published twice monthly in a range of formats: on the TV BRICS news feed, within the BRICS Life section, and through the television programme BRICSterview. The project is slated to run throughout 2026.
As part of the broader rollout, Eurasia Today will include interviews with experts from Eurasian countries in a “Greater Eurasian Editorial Media Briefing” to mark its 25th anniversary. Materials produced for the project will also be shared across partner platforms around the world.
TV BRICS reports that more than 100 media organisations from over 30 countries regularly collaborate with its network, which reaches audiences in some 80 countries.
