London [UK], April 22 (ANI): On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, Hidayat Bhutto, UK and Europe organiser of the World Sindhi Congress, condemned the violence and accused Pakistan of fostering cross-border terrorism. Bhutto expressed sorrow for the victims and their families, calling the attack a stark reminder of the threat posed by militant networks in South Asia.
He alleged that Pakistan’s long-standing support for non-state actors — including training, funding and logistics — has fuelled regional instability and enabled attacks in India and Afghanistan. Bhutto cited global assessments that place Pakistan high on the Global Terrorism Index as evidence of systemic problems, and pointed to statements by senior Pakistani figures, including Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, acknowledging past ties with militant groups.
Bhutto warned that tolerance and patronage of such groups perpetuate cycles of violence and weaken international counter-terrorism efforts. He urged a coordinated, accountable international response grounded in international law to dismantle these networks and prevent future attacks. (ANI)
