Tel Aviv, May 4 (ANI): The Israeli Air Force said it struck Hezbollah infrastructure on Monday, stating the group’s fighters had been using the targeted site. The IAF said forces from the 91st Division hit the launch position from which an anti-tank missile had been fired toward Israeli forces in southern Lebanon; no casualties were reported.
In a post on X, the IAF described the overnight strikes as aimed at Hezbollah infrastructure used by its operatives. Al Jazeera reported that strikes also hit the towns of Debaal, Qana, Srifa, Qalaouiyah, Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Toulin, Shehour and Braashit. Despite a ceasefire declared on April 16, exchanges between Israel and Hezbollah have continued in southern Lebanon, where Israeli troops remain deployed. Al Jazeera said at least two people were killed in Israeli air strikes on the southern town of Shehour.
The Israeli military said it carried out multiple strikes over the weekend targeting sites it linked to Hezbollah. The Israel Defense Forces said it struck command centers, weapons storage, military buildings and other facilities it said supported attacks on Israeli forces, and that it had “eliminated terrorists operating adjacent to IDF soldiers” during the past day. The IDF reported that roughly 70 military structures and about 50 Hezbollah-linked infrastructure sites had been dismantled across several areas.
The military added that it will continue to act against threats directed at Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers in accordance with directives from the political echelon.
