At least 10 people were taken to hospitals after a shooting at a gathering near Arcadia Lake north of Oklahoma City, authorities said. Edmond police spokesperson Emily Ward said officers received multiple reports of shots fired at a party of young people at about 9 p.m. Saturday.
Ward said additional victims may have driven themselves to hospitals; those taken by responders were reported in various conditions. Police have not released information on suspects or a motive as their investigation continues.
Arcadia Lake is about 13 miles (21 km) north of Oklahoma City in the suburb of Edmond, a city of roughly 100,000. The lake is a popular recreation area for picnicking, camping, fishing and water sports. Authorities asked anyone with information or video of the incident to contact Edmond police.
