Onlookers watched in horror as a woman clung to the balcony of a high-rise building in footage that circulated widely on social media. Reportedly filmed in Guangdong province, the video shows her hanging from a 10th-floor balcony and then making her way down the building’s exterior using drainpipes and windowsills.
A shirtless man believed to be her lover speaks to her briefly through an apartment window before disappearing back inside. The woman struggles to maintain her grip as bystanders look on. At one point she slides down a water pipe to a lower floor, knocks on a neighbour’s window and is eventually pulled inside, narrowly avoiding what could have been a fatal fall.
The clip prompted strong reactions online. Many users condemned the man’s behaviour as “reckless and cowardly,” while others criticised the woman’s risky decision to scale the building without safety equipment, warning that a single misstep could have invited death. Comments included, “No man is worth putting your life at such risk!” and “Won’t the wife find out after watching this video? Cheating is bad guys.”
