Separately, the Indian Embassy in Doha issued an advisory urging Indian nationals in Qatar to take due care, follow news and local advisories, and provided a 24×7 helpline: +974-55647502 and email [email protected]. India has also issued advisories for missions in Iran, Israel, and Jordan.
The Indian Embassy in Jordan advised all Indian nationals and tourists to leave the country immediately before commercial flights are potentially disrupted, providing an emergency contact: +962-770 422 276. The Indian Embassy in Tehran urged Indians to exercise utmost caution and avoid unnecessary movements. The Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv similarly advised heightened vigilance.
The advisories followed a joint military strike by Israel and the United States on Iran, codenamed Operation Roaring Lion, reportedly targeting Iranian military sites, missile production facilities, and areas near Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s office. Reports indicated strikes on several ministries in southern Tehran and powerful blasts heard by residents. The attack has raised fears of broader regional conflict.
In response, Israel declared a nationwide state of emergency, moved some hospital services underground, and activated sirens. Iran, Israel, and Iraq closed their airspace and suspended flights. The developments have disrupted diplomatic efforts, including U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations in Oman, and have prompted emergency measures and public anxiety as the situation continues to unfold.
