The Indian-American lawmaker urged a full investigation into the incident and emphasized that acts of intimidation and hatred have no place on college campuses or in society. “Acts of hatred and intimidation have no place on our campuses or anywhere in our society,” he said, calling for efforts to confront antisemitism, anti-Indian hate, racism and all forms of bigotry.
Krishnamoorthi also called for unity so that “every student can learn and live free from fear.” University officials have not yet released additional details about the probe into the graffiti.
