New Delhi — The Ministry of External Affairs has announced that Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles Pabitra Margherita will undertake an official visit to Costa Rica, Honduras, Belize and the Commonwealth of Dominica from 8 to 15 May 2026.
On 8 May in San José, Margherita will represent India at the presidential inauguration of Laura Fernández Delgado and is expected to hold discussions with Costa Rican leaders to explore ways to deepen bilateral ties. In Honduras, the minister will meet senior government officials, including the foreign minister, to review the full range of cooperation between the two countries.
In Belize, Margherita is slated to engage with government dignitaries and inspect sites of Indian development initiatives. The final leg in Dominica will include meetings with national leadership and visits to projects funded through Indian grant assistance; this will mark the first ministerial-level visit from India to Dominica since October 2018.
Throughout the tour, Margherita will also meet members of the Indian diaspora and other friends of India to strengthen people-to-people links and discuss opportunities for enhanced partnership across the region.
