Abu Dhabi, April 26 (ANI) — National Security Adviser Ajit Doval met UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Saturday during his official visit to the country. The leaders discussed ways to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and enhance cooperation on energy security amid evolving regional developments.
According to the Indian Embassy in the UAE, Doval conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s greetings and discussed measures to strengthen bilateral ties, the regional security situation, and other mutual interests. The UAE state news agency WAM reported that greetings were exchanged between the two countries’ leadership, with the UAE President reciprocating best wishes for India’s development and prosperity.
Discussions also covered recent developments in the Middle East and their implications for regional and international security and stability, along with concerns over global energy security. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security.
This is the second high-level engagement between India and the UAE in a month; earlier, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met the UAE President during a two-nation tour after attending the 9th Indian Ocean Conference in Mauritius. (ANI)
