Tehran [Iran], March 18 (ANI): The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says it struck more than 100 targets in Tel Aviv in retaliation for the killing of Ali Larijani, a former senior security official, Press TV reported. The attacks were described as a response to what Tehran called unprovoked American-Israeli aggression and were carried out during the “61st wave” of the IRGC’s ongoing retaliatory campaign, “Operation True Promise 4.”
Press TV reported the operation employed multi-warhead Khorramshahr-4 and Qadr missiles, along with Emad and Kheibar Shekan projectiles, to avenge Larijani, who once served as secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. The IRGC said the “intense lightning strikes” hit over 100 military and security targets in the heart of the “occupied territories” and faced “no obstruction.”
The force credited the stage’s success to what it called the “disintegration of the Zionist regime’s multilayered and highly advanced air defence systems.” Field information cited by Press TV indicated Tel Aviv experienced a “partial blackout” after the strikes, which the report said complicated ground control and rescue operations.
The IRGC also claimed that Operation True Promise 4 has caused more than 230 casualties, killed or injured, since the campaign began following recent military actions by Washington and Tel Aviv against Iran. Beyond Tel Aviv, strikes were reported against strategic sites in al-Quds, the port of Haifa, Be’er Sheva — described as a technological hub — and the Negev Desert.
Press TV added that American facilities across the region were also targeted, with impacts reported at outposts in Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. (ANI)
