Tehran, March 19 (ANI): Iran’s UN envoy, Amir Saeid Iravani, has formally notified the UN Secretary-General and Security Council that the United Arab Emirates is “internationally responsible” for allowing its territory to be used by the United States for attacks, state media reported.
Press TV says Iran is demanding full compensation from the UAE for all damages.
Iranian armed forces, together with regional resistance groups, continue retaliatory operations against the United States and Israel, Press TV reported. On March 18, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Army carried out multiple strikes under “Operation True Promise 4,” launched in response to what Iran described as an “unprovoked act of aggression” by a US‑Israeli coalition on February 28.
Since the operation began, Iranian forces have conducted 63 waves of missile and drone attacks using advanced weaponry, reportedly striking Israeli military facilities in the occupied territories and US bases and assets across the West Asia region.
These developments follow an Iranian strike on the UAE’s Habshan gas facility and the Bab field, which Abu Dhabi called a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law.
As the security situation evolves, the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Defence continues to publicize the nation’s military capabilities and its defensive operations.
Meanwhile in Lebanon, the Israel Defence Forces said more than 20 Hezbollah operatives were killed during ground operations in southern Lebanon. The IDF said troops from the 36th Division and Israeli Air Force strikes were responsible. In one incident, Golani Brigade soldiers identified a Hezbollah cell attempting to fire anti-tank missiles; the IDF said five operatives were killed and numerous weapons, including RPGs and anti-tank missiles, were found.
The IDF has said it is preparing to deploy additional forces in southern Lebanon and expand a buffer zone to push Hezbollah away from the border. (ANI)
