Tehran [Iran], March 25 (ANI) — A spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters, the unified combatant command of the Iranian Armed Forces, mocked US President Donald Trump’s claims that Washington was negotiating with Iran and that the war was nearing an end.
In a video shared by Fars News, the spokesperson ridiculed the US, saying the situation had reached a point where “you are negotiating with yourselves.” He said the strategic power once boasted of by the US had become a strategic defeat and warned Washington not to label that defeat an “agreement.”
“The era of your promises has come to an end,” the spokesperson said, contrasting “truth” and “falsehood” and asserting that truth-seekers would not be deceived by US media. He added that internal US conflicts had escalated to the point of self-negotiation and warned there would be no return to previous energy and oil prices nor to US investments in the region, “until you understand that stability in this region is guaranteed only by the powerful hand of our armed forces.”
The spokesperson also declared that Iranian forces would never come to terms with US-Israeli forces, saying, “until we will it, no situation will return to its previous state” and insisting that any thought of action against Iran must be erased.
President Trump had earlier said negotiations were under way and expressed confidence that the conflict would end, claiming US forces had degraded Iran’s navy, air force and communications and asserting US military dominance over parts of Iran. Trump said he could not be certain but believed “we are going to end it.”
There has been no formal Iranian response to Trump’s latest overture. Iranian officials had previously denied negotiations with the US, saying peace would come only if US-Israel halted their campaign. With Iran’s military maintaining a belligerent posture and launching what it described as wave 80 of retaliatory strikes, prospects for peace in West Asia remain uncertain. (ANI)
