Everything is fair in love and war, and Iran appears to have taken the battle with the US and Israel from missiles and drones to mockery. AI-generated videos, memes and propaganda that ridicule Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu have been circulating on social media, aiming to showcase Iran’s strength and resilience and to humiliate the US president and the Israeli prime minister.
The clips, pushed by Iranian state media and proxy profiles, include a variety of styles and targets. A Lego-style animated short titled “Strait of Hormuz will remain closed” parodies Trump’s statements, depicting a Lego Trump reacting to Iran’s claimed victories before Iran launches underwater and missile attacks on US naval assets, leaving him stunned. Another AI-generated video casts Trump as a Teletubby-like character, kneeling with folded hands and begging European partners—rendered as Teletubby lookalikes of NATO leaders, and the leaders of France, Turkey, the UK and Italy—for help. They respond with repeated “No, no, no,” and a Teletubby-styled Emmanuel Macron tells him to “close the door” as he leaves.
Other clips reportedly show Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei symbolically rising from rubble, reinforcing themes of resilience. These pieces form part of a broader information campaign leveraging improving AI-generated imagery and animation to mock adversaries and shape public perception.
