Tehran, March 25 (ANI): Iran on Wednesday released footage of the 80th wave of Operation True Promise 4, showing missiles being launched toward US and Israeli positions in the region, even as US President Donald Trump said a negotiated settlement appeared possible.
Wave 80 follows Trump’s comments that talks are underway and that Iran “would like to make a deal.” Trump asserted that Iran’s navy, air force and communications have been largely neutralized and declared that the conflict was nearing its end, saying US forces have “planes flying over Tehran” and that Iran is “totally defeated… Militarily, they are dead.”
Earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Wave 79 of Operation True Promise 4 successfully breached Israel’s layered air-defence systems and struck intelligence facilities in Tel Aviv and Beersheba, along with military and commercial centres across the occupied Palestinian territories. The IRGC Public Relations Department said the operation, codenamed “O Kheyral Fatehin,” used Kheibar Shekan, Emad and Sejjil missiles and attack drones from the IRGC Aerospace Force.
The statement identified targets including secure locations linked to Israel’s intelligence apparatus in north and central Tel Aviv, commercial and support centres of the regime’s army in Ramat Gan and the Negev, and the main logistics and southern military management centre in Beersheba.
At the United Nations Conference on Disarmament, Iran’s deputy UN envoy Reza Dehghani condemned US and Israeli military strikes and defended Iran’s actions as legitimate self-defence. Dehghani said Iran harbours no hostility toward its neighbours but insisted that states permitting their territory to be used against Iran must face consequences. He warned that attacks on civilians in Iran continue and stressed that force should not be normalized in international relations. Citing Article 51 of the UN Charter, Dehghani said Iran’s defensive measures are limited to the targets, bases and forces of the aggressor in the region. (ANI)
