Iran’s judiciary announced Wednesday that a man was executed after being accused of spying for Israel’s Mossad intelligence service.
State-run Mizan news agency named the man as Kourosh Keyvani and said he had provided images and information about sensitive locations to Mossad.
Iran, one of the world’s leading executioners, has a long record of carrying out death sentences in spying cases that are often decided in closed trials where defendants have limited ability to challenge the evidence against them.
