New Delhi, April 4 (ANI): Iran’s Ambassador to India, Mohammad Fathali, cited reviews from unnamed global think tanks to argue that the current US-Israel campaign against Iran represents a “strategic failure” for both countries, while highlighting Iran’s resilience. In a post on X, Fathali wrote that analysis across think tanks in the US, Europe and Asia shows “strategic failure for Israel and the US,” and praised an “Iranian-Islamic civilizational resilience that turns pressure into endurance, and endurance into sustained strategic leverage.”
Meanwhile, the central headquarters of the Iranian armed forces issued a sharp warning to the United States and its regional partners after recent threats by US President Donald Trump, state broadcaster Press TV reported. Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said early Saturday that Iran could carry out devastating strikes against American and Israeli assets, and against infrastructure in countries that host US military bases.
The warning was framed as a direct response to Trump’s assertions that the US would target Iran’s civilian infrastructure, including bridges, power plants and energy facilities. The Iranian military said any execution of such threats would be met with overwhelming force by the Islamic Republic’s armed forces and warned that retaliatory operations could extend beyond military targets to “more important and extensive sectors” of the capitals and allied countries hosting US bases.
On Thursday, Trump posted on Truth Social that the US military “hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran,” signaling an escalation in Operation Epic Fury, which began on February 28. He named bridges and electric power plants as potential targets and has previously warned he would bomb Iran “back to the Stone Ages” if necessary. (ANI)
