New Delhi, May 13 — Brazil’s Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday to take part in the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal welcomed Vieira’s arrival on social media, noting India’s readiness to host the talks. Brazil’s Foreign Ministry said the minister landed in New Delhi after completing a two-day visit to Central Asia.

During the meeting, BRICS foreign ministers will exchange views on global and regional matters of mutual interest. On the second day, delegates will take part in a session titled “BRICS@20: Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability,” followed by a discussion on “Reforms of Global Governance and Multilateral System.”
The most recent BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting took place on the margins of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 26, 2025, when India chaired as incoming BRICS chair for 2026.
