Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has doubled nonstop capacity between Zurich (ZRH) and New Delhi (DEL) by introducing a second daily Zurich–Delhi connection. The additional rotation will operate through June and up to and including 11 July 2026 and is available for immediate booking.
The carrier is deploying an extra Airbus A330-300 on the route to raise weekly seat capacity in response to increased demand for direct Euro–Asian travel.
Flight timings (local):
Additional daily service: LX2646 Zurich 12:35 – Delhi 00:00; LX2647 Delhi 01:40 – Zurich 07:00.
Regular daily service: LX146 Zurich 12:10 – Delhi 23:35; LX147 Delhi 01:05 – Zurich 06:20.
Aviation analysts say the temporary capacity increase is a tactical response to disruptions and airspace volatility in the Middle East, prompting some travellers to bypass Gulf hubs. Other factors enabling the extra flights include available airport slots, traffic rights and fleet deployment capability.
